Network and System’s Administrator
The Network and System’s Administrator reports to the IT Director and is responsible for helping select, acquire, deploy, train, and support the IT hardware and software elements required for the operation of MorningStar Ministries. This will be done through maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer, phone, Direct TV and additional systems as assigned. This role provides technical support at various levels for staff, volunteers and guests.
This position requires a multifaceted professional who excels in an ever-changing environment that requires different expertise at any given time. A passion for the continued growth and development of MorningStar Ministries is essential for this position. The person must be trustworthy, personable, and full of integrity with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with anyone in the MorningStar community. This person must be flexible, collaborative, and possess strong critical thinking skills. Excellent time management skills with the ability to accomplish projects on time in a high demanding environment is essential.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Role Primary Responsibilities
Phone Administration
✓ Install phone lines
✓ Setup and support users including the name and voicemail
✓ Relocate phone extensions to new locations
✓ Provide support for phone system related requests
✓ Backup Phone System
WiFi Networks
✓ Install, troubleshoot and maintain wireless routers and access points
✓ Assist users to connect to the WiFi
Lan Networks
✓ Install, troubleshoot and maintain routers and network switches
✓ Install network lines
✓ VPN
Direct TV
✓ Install, troubleshoot and maintain Direct TV equipment
✓ Work the AT&T/Direct TV for support
✓ Train users how to use Direct TV when needed
Hardware
✓ Install, troubleshoot and maintain various hardware including Macs, PCs, printers, monitors, and other peripherals
✓ Research hardware based solutions for specific use
Employee Setup
✓ Operate and maintain Microsoft Windows Active Directory
✓ Setup usernames and email addresses
✓ Setup workstations, laptops, phones and additional devices
Software Support
✓ Install, troubleshoot and maintain various software
✓ Provide help desk support
✓ Train users✓ Assist users and research solutions
✓ Basic Microsoft Access query creation

Education/Experience:
➢ College degree preferred with past experience considered
➢ CompTIA or Microsoft Certifications preferred
➢ Minimum of 2 years of network and systems administration experience preferred
