Summary

This is an entry level position supporting the H.I.M. building environmental air systems for maintaining peak efficiency. Will take lead from HVAC Technicians 2 and above.  Position Part time or Full time.

Essential Function

Support the repair, installation, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment

Filter changes

Works with other department's employees

Ensure and maintain a safe working environment

Assist all other trades as needed

Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Able to find ways to work efficiently

Basic mechanical skills

Self starter- willing to advance educationally

Supervisory responsibilities

May direct helpers or temporary workers

Working conditions

Indoors and out

Some heavy lifting

Work on a ladder when required

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or G. E. D. preferred

More than 2 years experience

Basic mechanical and motor skills
