True Church Life - The Great Commission, Part 10

     There are two Greek words most commonly translated “church” in the New Testament. Koinonia, which we began to address last week, speaks of the special bonding of the saints in relationship. The other is ecclesia, which speaks of church order, structure, and government. We must have both of these to become the church we are called to be and to experience fellowship as God intended.

Day 113 - The Journey Continues

This Promised Land that we have in Christ is not just what we inherit after we die, but it is the glorious new creation that we become in this life. However, when you are born it is not the fulfillment of your life, but the beginning. Likewise, when you are born again, it is not the fulfillment of your calling, but the beginning of the glorious journey. There is no life so exciting, so wonderful, and so fulfilling as the Christian life.

Day 65 - Ascending on the Path of Life

       Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
       He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way (Psalm 25:8-9).
 
It takes humility to know God's ways. The Lord teaches the humble His ways because one must be willing to learn in order to be taught, and as we covered previously, one definition of humility could be teachableness.

Day 17 - The Commission

       And God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it;
       and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Discerning the Times, Part 13

As we are told in Hebrews 12 and other verses, everything that can be shaken will be shaken. However, we have been given a kingdom that cannot be shaken. A primary way that we build our lives on the kingdom that cannot be shaken is to use the key of the kingdom for every major decision in our lives.
